Q: What is the maximum size of door you are able to achieve?
A: Our maximum external standard door leaf sizes are 950 x 2300mm for the door leaf, including frame this would be 1040 x 2400mm.
Q: Do you do made to measure?
A: All our doors are made to measure.
Q: Do you do double doorsets?
A: Yes, all our designs can be made into double doorsets.
Q. Do you have any doors in stock?
A: No, all our doors are made to measure. But it is worth checking with our office or on the offers page if there are any ex-display doors for sale.
Q: How long does it take to get a door made?
A: Our lead time on our exterior doors is usually 6-8weeks depending on the time of order and how many orders are going through. It's best to call our office to check.
Q: Do you do arched doors and stable doors?
A: No, we are unable to do arched and stable doors. However, we are able to do arched frames for side lites.
Q: Do you have a bespoke service?
A: We are able to offer a bespoke service which includes slightly adjusting our designs to suit your opening and changing sizes of vision panels in doors.
Q: Do you do sidelites, storey lites and side panels?
A: Yes, we do. Please see information about this on the website in the Door Detail section.
Q: Can you supply locks, and door furniture?
A: We usually supply our doors as a door set so the lock, hinges and door furniture would all come with the door fitted. Please note that door handles are not included in the price of the door and is priced separately.
Q: Can we send you our own design?
A: We only manufacture the designs that are on our website and in our brochure.
Q: Can I alter your existing designs?
A: This is possible only with sizes and positioning of vision panels.
Q: Can we have a vision panel in doors that don’t have one?
A: Depending on the design. This will be at an additional charge.
Q: Do you fit, measure up and do site visits?
A: No, we supply nationwide and internationaly therefore work on a supply basis only. If you have a large project which demands a site visit, this can be organised. Any professional carpenter or builder should be able to measure up and fit our doors. Your door will come prehung with all hardware fitted and door furniture fitted but removed for transport.
Q: How do we measure? Do you have fitting instructions? How do I finish the door?
A: If you are not confident about measuring, please ensure to ask your builder or a carpenter to do so for you. All what we need is the exact width and height of your structural opening and we will produce our frame within a 10mm tolorance. We will also produce CAD drawings with all measurements and specifications for your approval before production. Please keep in mind that the best way to measure is from top, middle and bottom of your aperture from brick to brick or render to render and use the widest and highest size optained.
Q: Do the doors come finished?
A: No, our doors are delivered ready for finishing on site after the door is fitted. 1 Litre of finishing material is sent automaticaly with your order. It is extremely essential to finish your door as quickly as possible once the door is taken out of it's packaging and that you read all the information related to finishing on our website.
Q. Do you sell fire doors?
A: No.
Q. Do you sell internal doors?
A: No.
Q. Are sidelites glazed or unglazed?
A: Sidelites up to 1000 x 2200mm are sent with the glass in the frame, the beading partly fixed ready for final assembly on site (this is to facilitate secret fixing behind the glass). Sidelites over these sizes will be priced and delivered without glass for ease of transport, glass will need to be sourced localy (Please ask us for more details).
Q. What are your payment terms?
A: A 50% of the full amount of your order is required when the order is placed. A further 50% is required 10 days before delivery.
Q: Do Urban Front deliver to the Channel Islands and Ireland?
A: Yes, we have frequent deliveries to the Channel Islands and Ireland.
Q: Do you ship to the United States?
A: Yes, we can arrange shipment to the United States and have done so regularly over the last few years. We don’t have representatives in the US but have successfully delivered doors by discussion over the phone, email and regular communication.
