Nabil Assaf

Born in Beirut, Lebanon, Nabil has lived in the UK for 22 years working in various sales oriented capacities including banking and foreign currency until he started property developing in his late twenties.  Finding property and design to be a fascinating and enriching experience, he studied product design and developed his love for design and creating interiors.  Nabil made his first door in 2000 with a little bit of cedar and lots of elbow grease when he was unable to find a contemporary door to suit his 1960s house.

Elizabeth Assaf

Australian born, Elizabeth visited the UK in 1995 to study television at the University of Salford, Manchester.  During an 8 year period, she worked  on various television programmes for many different companies.  Having met and married Nabil, she then also started working on various property developments with him also finding a love for interior design.  Mixing both her television and interest in design, she started working on design and DIY shows like Property Ladder and Changing Rooms.  This led to more design work and building on Nabil's idea, she concentrated on contemporary door design.

Working together Elizabeth and Nabil design all the doors for Urban Front.
